Alfa's enduring culture has meant that, ever since the company was founded, we’ve focused on creating a positive, sustainable impact on society.
We've always been passionate about sustainability, and it's a reason one of our company values is Create a Positive Impact, whether this is through our charitable giving, our longstanding volunteering programme, our increasing environmental efforts, and wide range of Alfa communities.
Our Environmental Impact and Social Impact teams ensure people from across the business can get involved in meaningful activities, as well as making sure issues of sustainability are high on the agenda for our leadership team.

How Alfa aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals
Alfa has been proud to align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) for a number of years, using selected goals to focus our sustainability efforts in areas we feel are most relevant to Alfa and our industry.
The UN SDGs are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The 17 goals are all interconnected, and in order to leave no-one behind, it is important we achieve them all by 2030.
Our continued focus and committed efforts
We periodically review our adopted SDGs, bringing together a group of passionate people from across the business to decide which are most meaningful for Alfa. Alfa continues to focus on Climate Action and Gender Equality, and we have introduced Reduce Inequalities and Sustainable Consumption and Production as new goals. Underpinning these goals is our basic and fundamental commitment to Decent Work and Economic Growth for all in our ecosystem.
Alfa's 2024 Charity Partnerships
Alfa is delighted to announce our new charity partners for 2024. This year, our Employee Resource Groups - which we call ‘Communities’ at Alfa - curated a shortlist of worthy organisations and, through a company-wide vote, our colleagues have selected four charities to partner with.
